The Story

From the Diamond
to the Job Site

Zach Zedalis grew up in Charlotte, NC — where discipline, competition, and a relentless drive to improve were woven into everyday life. He played collegiate baseball across four schools, finishing his career at the University of South Carolina, where he learned what it takes to perform under pressure and lead a team toward a goal that demands everything you have.

That same mentality — prepare harder, execute cleaner, never settle — translated directly into construction. The job site became the new diamond. The project schedule became the season. And the standard never dropped.

The Business of
Building

After finishing his playing career, Zach returned to school to pursue his MBA at the Darla Moore School of Business at USC — one of the top-ranked programs in the Southeast. During his MBA, he joined Congaree Construction Company as an Assistant Project Manager, working on some of the highest price-point custom homes Columbia, South Carolina had ever seen.

That hands-on education — managing luxury builds, coordinating complex structural work, and learning the business of construction from the inside out — gave Zach a foundation that no classroom alone could provide.

& Recognition

Zach joined Pulte Group — one of the nation's largest homebuilders — as a Construction Manager, where he earned a reputation for running tight schedules, maintaining quality, and developing his trades. In 2025, he was recognized as Construction Manager of the Year, an accolade earned through accountability, consistency, and a standard most wouldn't hold themselves to.

He simultaneously studied for and earned his South Carolina Unlimited General Contractor License — one of the most comprehensive contractor credentials in the state, enabling work across any project type, value, or complexity.

Is Born

With an MBA, an unlimited GC license, and years of experience across luxury custom homes and high-volume production building, Zach founded Zedalis Group LLC — a holding company built to grow with his ambitions. Underneath it, Maison & Oak serves residential clients who want a builder they can trust. The commercial division takes on bold concepts and developer-forward projects that demand both craft and business acumen.

The goal has always been the same: become a builder, then a developer. Build something people point to. Leave the Carolinas better than you found them.

Beyond the Build

Home is where
it started.

Zach and his wife Jordann live in Chapin, South Carolina, in a home Zach designed and built himself — GC'd from the ground up, finished in September 2025. It is, in many ways, the proof of concept for everything Zedalis Group stands for.

Their daughter Chapel was born in 2024, and the two dogs — Sylo and Banks — make sure the job site never gets too quiet when they visit. The family is the reason the work matters, and the reminder that every home built is someone else's version of the same thing.
